Congratulations and thanks to the guys that made the trip to Manhattan to play K-State (no, the game was NOT canceled). With a little help from some Wichita guys, we ended the season with a victory, 29-12, over an admittedly tired K-State team (they played a match before us). It was a great way to end the season and erase that fiasco at Salina.

Shame on the guys that kept spreading rumors that the game was canceled. That cost us some players who probably would have played but made other plans when they were told the game was canceled. Please, let's not do that again. Let the match secretary handle game arrangements and make any announcements about game changes or cancellations.

Anyway, with the win over K-State, we actually ended our season with a 3 game winning streak. That 12-man garbage we played at Salina didn't count for anything - Salina actually forfeited because they only have 13 CIPPed players, so it officially counts as a victory.

Let's carry this over to next spring and keep our winning streak going. We need to keep working out over the off-season and we need everybody back in the Spring. It takes time to build a winning team, but we're real close to turning that corner. Let's keep it going.

We just wanted to say thanks to Topeka Rugby for the all good times, we had a blast. Congratulations to all on a good showing this season, I can't wait to see your team next year. Also, I give two thumbs up to all the Die-Hards that show up every Saturday if for nothing other than the love of the game. You guys are the reason why "Saturday is a Rugby Day" in our house. See ya all next season.
